Account Manager

Outside Sales / B2B Marketing Services / Assigned Territory

Design Squad Media is hiring an Account Manager to generate new business and sell marketing services to small and medium-sized businesses. This is an outside sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, meeting business owners face-to-face, uncovering needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals.

The right candidate has a minimum of 6+ years of proven sales experience, a strong hunter mentality, reliable transportation, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage a territory with discipline and urgency. This person must be willing to stop by businesses regularly, keep accurate notes, meet deadlines, and represent Design Squad Media with professionalism.

What You Will Sell

You will sell Design Squad Media’s marketing and creative services, including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Visit business locations in person to introduce Design Squad Media and create new opportunities.
  • Cold call, network, follow up, set appointments, and build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Meet with business owners, managers, and decision-makers to understand their goals, challenges, current marketing, and growth opportunities.
  • Present Design Squad Media’s marketing, website, advertising, video, design, CRM, and lead-generation solutions in a clear and persuasive way.
  • Create, send, and follow up on proposals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate notes, activity tracking, tasks, and follow-ups inside the company CRM.
  • Meet or exceed weekly activity expectations, pipeline goals, appointment goals, and sales goals.
  • Coordinate with the internal team during client handoff to make sure details, deadlines,expectations, and deliverables are clear.
  • Represent Design Squad Media professionally in the field and build long-term relationships that leadto repeat business, referrals, and account growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of sales experience.
  • Proven ability to prospect, pitch, follow up, overcome objections, and close deals.
  • Hunter mentality and willingness to create new opportunities instead of waiting for leads.
  • Comfortable with in-person prospecting, cold outreach, and territory-based sales activity.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Very detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-through.
  • Able to manage deadlines, appointments, proposals, and multiple prospects at the same time.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently, stay accountable, and manage a daily schedule without constant supervision.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing, advertising, websites, or lead generation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outside sales, territory sales, B2B sales, advertising sales, media sales, SaaS sales, website sales, or agency sales.
  • Experience selling to small business owners.
  • Experience using CRM software to track pipeline, notes, tasks, and follow-ups.
  • Familiarity with Facebook Ads, Google Ads, websites, SEO, social media, video marketing, CRM tools, or lead-generation campaigns.
  • Experience selling monthly retainers, recurring services, or long-term client programs.

This role is for someone who enjoys being in the field, starting conversations, and being measured by results. You should be motivated by activity, pipeline, closed business, and helping local businesses grow. You must be organized enough to follow up consistently and detail-oriented enough to make sure no lead, appointment, deadline, or client detail falls through the cracks.

Compensation

This position offers a base salary plus commission, with additional earning potential tied to new business revenue, recurring accounts, and performance goals.
